Villa Turchese: Superior luxury and comfort
The concept of a modern luxury villa built to a contemporary architectural style yet inspired by the traditional formation of a rustic Sardinian stone house (“stazzu gallurese”) has been successfully converted to a reality by the chic Neapolitan design team at Altromodo. The villa now forms part of an elegant and exclusive modern development, which is cloaked inside a lush, green landscape and topped off by beautiful, expansive views over the bay of San Teodoro. A path shaded by indigenous trees leads to a beautiful beach (a leisurely 5-minute stroll from the villa), of superb length (2 km) and lined by dunes clothed in juniper trees, wild daffodils and sea holly. Its extra fine, glittering sand and low-depth crystalline water make this beach particularly safe for toddlers and small children. The villa is set amid grounds with well-tended, manicured lawns (on which children can play) and the first thing a guest sees on arrival is the long swimming pool in the middle of the garden. The internal and external areas are extremely spacious, particularly as the villa is arranged uniquely in two buildings: a main villa and annex separated by a generous courtyard. The main villa dazzles with an interior of pristine, white walls complimented by shimmering marble floors and a medley of vaulted, high and exposed beam ceilings. Additionally, wide window-doors act as transparent walls to the gleaming outdoors, fully embracing the design concept of a naturalistic connection and of flow between the indoor and out. Chic and contemporary furnishings are offset with bespoke wood furniture, while a smattering of quirky objects d’art and household items add even more sparkle to the décor. The main living area opens majestically to a long veranda, which combines distinct lounge and dining areas and is bedecked with drapes. Here under the shade of the pergola, guests may enjoy pleasurably leisurely al fresco meal seated on attractive bespoke wrought-iron chairs around the elegant glass dining table, or take a siesta on the open veranda; swaying in the roomy hammock or reclining on cushioned rattan and fanned by the sea breeze.
The luxury property arranged in two buildings, one of which has two levels, and sleeps a total of seven/eight persons in four luxury bedrooms en suite. The two bedrooms on the first floor of the annex are independent, accessible only by an external staircase. The two bedrooms in the main building include the master suite and both open to the garden terrace. There is also a single bedroom en suite, available for staff. Each guest bedroom is distinct in shape and by décor and the en suite shower rooms are bright and airy with modern fittings. The villa’s bedrooms and garden provide delightful aspects of beach and sea views. Adjoining the open plan main living area is a bright, modern fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar that pops with red, orange and stainless steel. Flanking the swimming pool is a wide and a long sun terrace with loungers and parasols and the grounds are naturally shielded for privacy, secluded by dense vegetation at the borders.
Here is a luxury villa that is noteworthy for its unusual architectural design and configuration, eye-catching attention to detail and the convenience of very easy access to one of the best beaches of Sardinia. Presenting a variety of delightful garden, beach and sea view aspects from around the property, families, couple, friends and colleagues will all be suitably impressed by the this unique Sardinian home. Available at extra cost is a berth for a boat (16 x 4.5 m) as well as a parking space in the marina.
